BEST FINALYEAR EMBEDDED PROJECT CENTER IN CHENNAI
In today’s health-conscious world, continuous monitoring of vital signs has become essential for personal health management and preventive care. Among these vital signs, heart rate and electrocardiogram (ECG) signals play a crucial role in assessing cardiovascular health and detecting potential abnormalities. This project presents a compact and cost-effective heart rate and ECG monitoring system using the MAX30102 sensor module , an ECG sensor (AD8232) , and an Arduino Uno microcontroller. The MAX30102 operates based on the principle of photoplethysmography (PPG) , emitting red and infrared light through the fingertip and detecting variations in light absorption due to blood flow. Simultaneously, the ECG sensor measures the electrical activity of the heart, providing a graphical waveform that represents the cardiac cycle.
