BEST FINALYEAR EMBEDDED PROJECT CENTER IN CHENNAI
In today’s health-conscious world, continuous monitoring of vital signs has become essential for personal health management and preventive care. Among these vital signs, heart rate and electrocardiogram (ECG) signals play a crucial role in assessing cardiovascular health and detecting potential abnormalities.
This
project presents a compact and cost-effective heart rate and ECG monitoring
system using the MAX30102 sensor module, an ECG sensor (AD8232),
and an Arduino Uno microcontroller. The MAX30102 operates based on the
principle of photoplethysmography (PPG), emitting red and infrared light
through the fingertip and detecting variations in light absorption due to blood
flow. Simultaneously, the ECG sensor measures the electrical activity of the
heart, providing a graphical waveform that represents the cardiac cycle.
